About Me

I grew up on a small family farm, where we were taught the power self- healing, to be God fearing, and to live off the land. As the oldest of five siblings, I helped teach this to my brothers and sisters. We hardly ever went to the grocery store and everything we ate came from local farmers. We took pride in knowing what we were eating, where it came from, and how it was grown and prepared. My family was 4th generation farmers from Virginia and has been growing timber, livestock, tobacco, potatoes, and mixed crops stretching all the way back to 1840. It wasn’t until I started working in investment banking, with companies like Campbells, Polaner All Fruit, and Heinz that I realized the value of having owned a farm and how you can turn a harvest into a brand. This kind of experience and intellectual property helps me to provide a unique set of competitive advantages in that marketplace.
